Very interesting and different shot of a familiar subject. Well spotted and shot.
Like the use of the yellow lines as lead.Super composition.
Hmmm, silly comment but I think it would look better without the grate! Like the yellow lines, but the 'horizontal' lines of the grate detract from things I reckon...
The building itself looks great - did you do a similar landscape one?
nice low angle shot. The double yellow lines really stand out.
Never thought I'd say that I really liked the double yellow line!! But I do, it demands the central perspective and works very well to contrive the eye right through the picture. I agree with Clatimer about the grate.... nice one, went there once to see 12 hours of Greek Tragedy, a play called Tantalus, fabulous place.... helen
Composition pulls you through. Replication of vivid colour add to impact Adrian. Ron.
Very clever use of the wide-angle. The lighting and composition is spot-on.
I like the perspective and vanishing point. Well composed. I also like that saturation of the colors. Overall, very nice shot.
not a lot I can do about the grate Chris - it's there and I was stuck with it!
I like yellow lines, a good, strong tool for those lead lines
Nice one - perspective is brill. Well done
a scene that people won't even normally look at.
Fantastic lines pulling you through the shot; a brilliant EC.
Cool Ade, cool
agree with Pete on this one!
Wow! Cheers Pete, all the laughing I heard when crawling on the floor to get this one was worth it after all!
There were lots of smokers stood outside the bar door just to the right and they thought I was a little odd
they were right weren't they
Excellent stuff. The low lights on the building work brilliantly to balance to double-yellows. Great, moody shot and congrats on the EC.
Have an Rc to go with the Ec!!
you've got to be mad to take photos of grates and yellow lines
Ordinary subject made into something extraordinary ....congrats
Superb perspective .. gritty, contemporary, different and I like it.
great lead in lines
really good shot, excellent lines and nice contrast between the double yellows and the rest of the image. spot on and well done with your Ec.
Made me grin. Well done.
First class, Ade. Did this appear in a magazine recently?
Hi Flindt - it's in this month's Photography Monthly. Part of the Competition section to advertise theie Urban Colour competition
Wow! Huge depth to this shot mainly due to the yellow lines..great shot..enormous clarity.
excellent image, great depth, love the POV
Nice perspective and cool..
nice angle has a very good perspective like the yellow lines with the lights on the left kinda looks a bit reflective of the lines.
