One of two amur leopard cubs born recently at the WHF in Kent. Thanks for looking and for your time - comments and/or criticisms are very welcome.
Thank you for all your comments on In the wild uploaded yesterday - I understand your concerns about these tigers and the number of tourists gawping at them (and I include myself) and I don't know the answer. When we were watching them, they seemed completely oblivious to us, as do lions in Africa. Of much more concern to me is that these tigers are still being poached and numbers are decreasing in India. I think the situation is more complex than just too many tourists looking at the tigers...

Fabulous shot Ann, the detail and outstanding
Hugh
What a super portrait shot of the cub, Ann: wonderful detail and with a nice light in the eyes.
I share your concerns re. the survival of the species, and it would be tragic if mankind achieved the demise of such a beautiful big cat. So many species have already been lost and I only hope that those with knowledge and the power to do something about it manage to secure the future for these wonderful animals.
Ronnie.
Excellent close up Ann, great detail, love the whiskers,
Fred.
Lovely feline study, Ann. Great catchlights, lots of detail, and the narrow dof works well with the background. Good lens that.
Dave
fab close up.great detail and the eyes have it,yes.lovely shot.
Superb!
Re tourists and he tigers, if there were no tourists to take an interest in the tigers and bring revenue into India to encounter them, there probably wouldn't be any tigers left in the wild at all.
You have captured a superb pose with stunning detail, Ann. top class work.
John
Perfect focus and beautifully rendered detail Ann.
Derek
The stare is just wonderful Ann, V2 with the tidier whiskers, but I hadn't noticed until I saw there was a second image.

Congratulations on its many awards
Helen
It a great image...
Just becareful that you do not focus on the nose. Keep it to the eyes so they stay sharp as if you have a low Fnumber you find background goes out of focus just right but you also finf the distance betwwen nose and eye will be out silghtly...
I love the image....
Just be aware that focal point is the eye...
Dave
A beautiful portrait of this youngster, he/she looks so soft and cuddly.
