A green veined white butterfly I saw deep down in the long grass at Prestbury Hill nature reserve near Cheltenham back in June. Due to the awful weather conditions this summer this species did not fare very well this year.

The weather this summer put paid to seeing any butterflies up here, Ed: another two fine captures with V 2 just ahead for me........fills the frame and I think the detail seems just that wee bit better recorded, but it could just be because it fills the frame more.
Ronnie.
2 excellent captures Ed, excellent detail in both,
Fred.
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks and to Carol and Ade for the user awards, it is greatly appreciated, Ed
I agree with others, V2 is the better image in my humble opinion, more detailed.
