One of my favourite species of butterfly, but one I find very difficult to capture because it is always flitting in and amongst the bramble hedgerows, mainly staying in the shade.

Difficult you say....well you have still succeeded in taking a beautiful shot of a beautiful creature.

Two fabulous close ups Carol, the detail and colour are sublime and the background looks rather good
How lucky you are, I have never seen that one!
A wonderful pose, too so pretty against the golden background.
Very well cleaned up in v1, Carol, although I think I prefer the natural background in v2 which is nicely out of focus.

Like both Carol! Would be interesting to know how you have achieved the clean background in V1.

Trev.
A glorious close up Carol! I assume it is the same image but with a different background for V1?
Both are superb!
Carol
Really is a beautiful capture Carol,excellent work..Lin
A stunning capture, Carol, and though you've done an excellent job on the background in V1, I think the more natural looking V2 works best for me ![]()
