A lovely image with very nice light. I know this was a quick, spur of the moment shot, and your camera was set to f/2. You have good sharpness and outline in the lower area, closer to your camera, and a little softer where his head is, - so f/5.6 would have covered the whole range. But it still works. Ive sharpened the upper area as much as I could in the mod, and cropped a little space from the top. It places both his hand, and his head on a third, so looks good as a composition.

A fine idea but you needed the sun behind his arm. That would have removed the flare and increased impact even more. Once the foreground shapes are black, they will get no blacker, so you could have reduced exposure further to fill sky detail.
