A fishing boat run aground this week in Shetland; Its stuck fast and will be left there to break up in the winter gales. There was a great sky tonight so I took some shots with a grad filter. Its become a bit of a local attraction.

Apologies for brief comments or clicks only, my internet is at dial-up speed this week.

An excellent set Adrian, it looks like an inhospitable part of the coast

Excellent Adrian....I was flicking through the pics and went past this one then suddenly thought....thats Scalloway so went back to see who had taken it. Amazing when you find someone from your home town.

A sad end for this fishing boat, Adrian: you have recorded the event so well though in these three shots, ow which my favourites are V 2 and 3, but I cannot decide between the warmer tones of V 2 and the cooler presentation in V 3. So 1/2 vote to each of them.
Regards, Ronnie.

Just love the colours and light in V3, though a very well composed and captured set altogether.

What an intriguing set. V2 is a bit of an intrusion for me, the real interest is the comparison between V1 & V3. In V1 the rock seems to be reaching out towards the boat, in V3 it is entirely abandoned, desolate.

What a wonderful set of images Adrian - love them all, but V1 is my fav !

V1 pleases most, then the rest in order. V1 places the scale of the boat within the natural order, I think, especially in view of its vulnerability. And the sky is terrific!
