Isabella Callum was a spinster at Auchendrain township in Argyll who cared for her ailing father until he died. To make a living she had to leave the township & worked in the mines until she was too old to continue. Destitute & in poor health she returned to Auchendrain where she was looked after by the residents who named her "Bel Pol", the gaelic Dirty Bel. The Duke of Argyll paid for the materials to restore her old cottage which still stands today.

It looks to be a tiny cottage but in good state of repair and so nicely captured in this landscape shot. Interesting narrative too.....always makes the the package more complete.
