We were returning across the North Sea from Norway last week & were being followed by a number of gannets & gulls. I managed to catch this one as it swooped over us.
Taken with a brand new Tamron 55-200 f4-5.6 which I bought the week before from WEX for £100. Must be a pretty good bargain.
I took a second shot as the gannet got closer & flew overhead but just cropped the wingtips off. However the beady eye staring at me was well in focus.
