Here's another Puffin from last Friday's Skomer visit.
This one was flying past me at full speed and I like the way it's kept it's head level while it's body turned through 90 degrees while banking to the right.
If they think there's any danger from the gulls they won't attempt to land to feed their chicks, they just circle and try again.
I couldn't see this at the time of taking, they're so fast that all you can do is hope your camera's focus managed to lock on and just pan with the bird as it flies past, keeping your finger on the trigger, it's all over in a split second.
I deleted a lot more shots than I kept believe me, but when you get one that's in focus it's very rewarding.
