A different take on the dandelion seed head shot. Just experimenting with lens, tube and flash combinations.

Used a 16-35mm lens with a 21mm extension tube allowing me to get in very close and to give an extremely shallow DoF causing the outer part of the seed head to become translucent. 550EX flash mounted on camera plus a Pentax Extraflash positioned below, left and behind the subject.

Not sure if this works, Ill let you be the judges, all comments; good, bad and indifferent very much appreciated.

Adrian.

Camera:EOS 20D
Lens:EF 16-35L + 21mm Ext Tube

I think it works very well, you've created something artistic and in my opinion beautiful from a simple dandelion. It makes me think of water shooting out in jets from a fountain.

Well done!

Matt

It has to be seen in the larger version to appreciate it. Very nice close up.
