I was trying to get a photograph that showed the sheer numbers of Starlings that group together at Gretna Green. This is my 18mm lens and I didn't get them all in the shot.
Amazing to see from underneath as long as you wear old clothes.
This is just behind the Gretna Service Station , park in the Service area, walk up towards the filling station on the road out, on the left hand side are a couple of no entry signs, you need the one with 'no unauthorised access'. Walk down the path and you should get good views.
They are fickle and do sometimes roost on the other side of the motorway.
I normally wait up on the bridge that crosses the motorway until they've decided where to display.
