Sorry it doesn't work for me. The manipulation is fine, but the choice of bg is wrong for 2 reasons. First, and by far most major, is the fact that thier is obvious movement in the image - look to the tree line (a tripod would have helped here Wink). Second, and far more subtle, is the light - it appears that the heron was lit by flash and this kinda messes the balance of the image up.

Please don't get me wrong here - the idea is good, and your manipulation is good. It is never a bad idea to have a go, and its brave to post on here for feedback. Also these are just my opinions - nothing more, and no less.

I like this image,might have been manipulated but the overall look works well !! Nicely done...
