This is a single picture.

A partial reflection of Newcastle’s Tyne Bridge using The Baltic’s sliding doors. It is partial as the lower part of the picture captures a couple of people and the poster displays from the entrance foyer of The Baltic. It also crosses a sort of feudal boundary as The Baltic is on the Gateshead side and the Tyne Bridge literally bridges the gap between two separate and distinctive districts: Gateshead and Newcastle.

I’ve played about with it a bit and re-coloured parts.

I wish there was such a genre as ‘impressionist photographs’. If there was, then this would sit comfortably in that arm chair description.

Thanks for looking. helen x

I like it. I'm glad you explained what we are looking at -- otherwise I would never have figured it out.

Brilliant - and I'm envious, I've tried to get precisely this shot but the light has never been right, it's always ended up muddy-looking. This is bright, and the orange and yellow sky gradates beautifully down to the blues at the bottom.

Thanks, Walter, Peter, Ron and in reply to Moira. I think I was lucky with the bright winter light, because the doors are some way down a gaping tunnel which is by it's own nature dark and the reflections have a tricky time to react normally in such conditions. You should see the ones I threw away ! I thought the noise was a problem, but it lends itself well to the graphic definitions. The people are quite intriguing too; you don't see many men wearing moustaches these days.

Anyway, thanks for your support. helen x
