One morning was up on the summit of Pen Y Fan and the mist ruled out a sunrise shot. A few photographers had decided to pack up and leave but I stayed on with a guy who's 1st time it was on Southern Britain's highest peak - and then it started to happen! I dropped down to a small ledge just off the peak to capture the light hitting the peak which was filtering through the mist - amazing couple of hours twas. To my left the drop is 1200ft - not for the feint hearted or to be done on a windy day!

A beautiful shaft of light. A very atmospheric capture.

Hi Alan. Lovely capture with the light creating tremendous mood. Great to see Neuadd reservoir glinting in the distance and you've even got that boggy pond in between Cribyn and Pen Y Fan. Excellent image, Alan
