Good Morning All,
It's a wet n orrible day in South Wales again - think summer has come and gone around here 
Was looking out on the feeders just now and spotted a Lesser Redpoll at the feeder....their visits are infrequent now but they are still around, as are the young. Great to know that some breed here and not move back north..I love these little finches.
This was taken back in early April when the summer plumage was starting to show through, some of the males I have seen are now so strikingly red they look like different birds.

Can see where you are coming from Gaz (down the back area?) but the only things I have done are:
A) Cropped for composition (took a little off the rhs)
B) A little noise reduction added to the background
B) Touch of Contrast added and sharpened for web
I have emailed you the original for you too look at and I await your reply on here for judgement

I like it,very nice shot,but my self i would crop a bit tighter it would make the bird look bigger,and bring out the detail even more,
