Had a busy day yesterday...up at 3.45am for a sunrise shoot at one of my faves spots in the beacons..on the mountain by 4.30am. Later met up with a tog mate and did some river and canal walking coupled with some bird photography before taking him off to these little known falls in the beacons. By this time the sun pretty bright and I was shooting straight into the light from this position - but as it was looking pretty impressive from the recent rains coupled with some lovely greenery around the sides of the falls I couldnt resist. I hadn't bothered to take my tripod to this spot and was not walking 25 mins back to the car so I was found a decent rock and then placed my bins upside down to rest the camera on.....would it hold for the "get out of jail" 10 stopper and a long exposure....well, I have to say I was pretty pleased with the result considering. I couldnt persuade my mate to grab a few shots but as I showed him some of the stuff back at the car I could see he was regretting it a little :o)
