A few years ago I was driving through Cardiganshire on my way to Cadair Idris and drove past a field with a rather unusual tree in the middle of it....as you do I stopped and saw a lady wrapping what looked like blue coloured cloth around the tree...that's unusual I thought and took a snap....I didn't have time to stop and investigate as I had a mountain to climb. Later on I was to find out it was Welsh based artist Phillipa Lawrence on one of her tree projects....she had already done a number of these on dead trees in the South Wales area. have had this sat on my walking folder from years ago - this was about 2005 I think and she has gone on to do a few other unusual projects. Anyway, taken with my Panasonic lumix, the sky was blown out so I have taken the liberty of practising some layers n cut n paste stuff and I have also got a project I want to do with a bubble so tried to incoprorate that for when start my own little "thing"..lol. Just messing innit.

I like this Alan! The original image is both surreal and very viewable. The bubble doesn't do the shot any harm at all and the sky transplant works well here! An all round good job with interesting subject matter - well done!

Well conceived and executed and nice colours too. Well worth the effort.
excellent messing innit! I like this a lot - I like old trees anyway
A grand experiment which works for me, the lady did well to get to the top of that tree with these small steps?

Great to capture the artist at work! I love the work you have done on the image
