Another shot taken from my trip to Gigrin last weekend. Thanks to those that took the time to look and comment on my "experimental" tree shots this weekend. ![]()

Fantastic shot love the composition and great detail
Kai
fabulous shot, super pov and great detail.i can not wait to go to gigrin.!!
for in flight this it a real cracker I have been to Gigrin and its not easy getting a shot as good as this and believe me I tried - had two visits during our short stay
Quote: Like it, i cant manage to capture these at all. There does seem to be some loss of detail on the underneath of the wing and tail, have you tried to lighten them? lesley
Yes Lesley you are right...tried to lighten some shadow detail that wasn't there...oops ![]()
Beautiful inflight capture. The only time I have managed to get to Gigrin was on an overcast and a very dull wet day. Unfortunately all my shot were silhouettes. I'd love to have got a shot like this.
Steve.
Quote: Nice shot Alan, although in lightening the underside you have introduced some noise. But hey you can't please all the people all the time
Allan
To be honest with you I was mostly disappointed with my shots from Gigrin - although they looked fairly sharp on the back of the camera whenI got home and transferred them on the pc they were full of noise...so much so that I took the 50D into the camera shop and asked they send it back to Canon for inspection. Thing was though we did some shooting from the shop with different lens and it showed no apparent noise and a couple of the shots I showed them from my card were printed with processing and no noise showed up?? Did think of moving up to the 7D but reports of softness have put me off that idea and I can't think the noise issue with the same sensor and MORE pixels is really going to be better?
Quote: It's a great in flight shot Al. Shame about the noise issue. Hope you get that sorted with Canon.
Dave
Thanks Dave...camera was not sent away as the shop thought I didn't have an issue with it... ![]()

Had a great morning with Mike thanks, hope i can do the hide justice with some decent images.
