beautiful and colourful capture , well done
Lovely composition with the foreground shapes and textures and those splendid reflections
Fantastic shot and beautiful reflection.........
Crisp, clear and beautiful...........Sandy
Stunning, mid-day view. Who says no cloud sky has to be boring. All of the elements are well placed, though the shore line seems a bit off-kilter.
Thanks Gwynn, Helen, Ayoob, Marius, Sandy and Steve..
Steve I will check the full size.. the bank is rather weavy but will check for any wonkiness - thanks
Looks ok with a beer mat under one side of the monitor
Lovely images, and they both look straight to me.
(serious question - how do you know whether it's not straight with no verticals or horizontals to go by, or is it just perception?)
Wow, I hated it to begin with but now I've seen V2 I'm completely won over! heh heh. Good to see Steve is keeping you on the 'straight' and narrow! The gap in the bank nicely compliments the trees and the colours are rich and lovely.
Beautiful shot !!!...with gorgeous clarity !!
Really good shot as always. Difficult to know if its wonky or not as the river bank does slope away from you. Must admit I always straighten in these cases - just aesthetics really!
Super landscape & colours
Thanks Dave, Al, Keith, Geoff and Ju...
serious answer is the spirit level is usually on the camera to assist.. there were three observations about how this looked, on and off EPZ so I tweaked. The bank is weaving in and out but the second version obviously better received and that's what this place is all about, taking the advice.
the colours are amazing, beautiful scene.
Beautiful light, tones and composition, Jeanie.
Looked a tad out to me too....but the beermat seems to have sorted it
I know that view!!
Like your comp and the wonderful light and colours.
I think I do prefer V2 it's clever use of a beermat, but where were you brought up dear lady? Lovely detail and that lovely Jeanie quality as ever.
Thank you Ant, Alun, Martin, Richard and Dougie.
Martin it did a similar thing to when we were there - the wind got up and lost the reflections lol
LOL Dougie - I was brought up proper like... using a beermat insteaf of leaving rings on the table
Pete - Thank you for the HC.. presumably for the one with the beermat?
Not another gadget to obtain!
I think V2 is better.
As Geoff has said, if in doubt it is probably best to straighten.
Very nice composition, colours and frosty foreground detail.
I confess I hadn't noticed any wonkiness about v1 until I'd seen v2 - funny how these things become clear once someone's pointed them out I really like the frosty detail and the way the light is highlighting the grasses on the right-hand side of the foreground. A lovely image Jeanie.
Fabulous image...love the touch of frost with those delicious colours and the snow peaks in the far distance - here have my award!
Thank you very much Cliff, Anna and Alan..
Alan - thank you so very much for your User Award.. really appreciated
