At the beginning of the year I was lucky to have a great time up in Glencoe and Skye, the weather was trememdous. The end of the year has not been quite so spectacular...though there are two and a half days left.. never say never... Smile

This is a variation of a picture I uploaded nearly 12 months ago of the deer down in Glen Etive. I was almost stood amongt them as they were paying no attention to me and my tripod sneaking closer, and were more interested in watching The Rug (my dog for those who don't know Jura), who was lying down on the grass, watching me watching them.. hehe Smile

Hope you have all had a great Christmas and eaten and drunk as much as you wanted to Smile

Not the lighting you'd have asked for first, I suspect, but this uses what was there brilliantly with the semi-silhouettes.

A most beautifully observed, composed, exposed and captured landscape with incredible beauty, depth, light. The Deer adding to the interest and appeal of such a wonderful image.

The dappled light has thrown the deer into silhouette against the sunshine kissed mountains.
The path for the deer takes them down to Lochan Urr as you know.
