Superb Richard, lovely fluffy plumage, great back ground and light.
Stunning. (Reed beds do make such a good bg.)
Fabulou detail and colours Richard, love that bg!
Looks a bit ruffled and windblown Richard Superb capture with great plumage detail.
Detailed to perfection, Richard with terrific plumage colours, textures and iridescence and fine eye. I love the the ruffled feathers and that to-die-for background.
awesome Shot richard i can fully understand why it's one of your favopurite shots !
She looks a bit cross at having her feathers ruffled but it's made a first class capture for you.
Seems to be doing OK Richard
Not sure about the background, whatever it might be
Gone on the shortlist
I always carry a piece of 6x6 MDF painted pink Ade and get Ron to hold it behind the bird
Seriously is a reedbed about 100m away that was dieing back.
If I remember rightly you were sat next to me in my hide when I got this one Ann
Stunning image. Nice work.
A magnificent image of this beautiful and brightly coloured little bird, the detail in the plumage is sublime
Stunning, have my award.
Have mentioned it before but I seem to know when one of your shots was taken with your old 40D, it has a clarity and quality that I don't always find with the 7D stuff.
