You'll be forgiven for thinking that this is the same picture, but it's not. This was taken a second or two before the last one, and I prefer the highlight in the eye and the slightly open mouth on this one.

Very beautiful and it must have been some trip to see tigers in their own habitat....

Yes, it was a special trip. Not only did we see this young female, but also Machali, the oldest tiger on the reserve and one that's been in so many BBC films. The bird life was special too as were the other mammals on view. Unforgettable.
