I managed to capture this Barn Owl in that glorious pink dawn light which only last for about 15-20 minutes.

This Barn Owl had just caught and eaten a Vole and if it wasn't for the pain in the arse Kestrels which keep nicking the Barn Owls hard earned food I would have had it with the Vole.
The Kestrels have become such a problem that the Barn Owls gulp the Voles down as soon as they catch them now, also they are starting to come out less and less during daylight hours at this site now because of it...

Arrrrrrggghhhh Pests....

Anyway, in the hour or so they were out I managed to capture them in all the different light the Dawn has to offer...

I was very pleased with my mornings work...

Thanks for loooking..

Yep... Although it worked ok on the Eagles yesterday... F15 Jet Eagles... Smile

I can't risk it on the Owls Dale, you only get a few chances so can't afford to have them messed up...

Beautiful shot, Tony. Again, you must view 'large' to appreciate the detail here in the plumage. That intense gaze could not be bettered.
Ronnie.

Just caught up with your recent Barn Owl series, Andrew. Very impressive wildlife photography, I have to say. Well done indeed.
