Taken at the back of Phizers nr Sandwich, Kent, remnants of world war 2 landing stage pontoons.
Happy Christmas and New year to all my friends and fellow members of EPZ and to all of the staff who contribute so much to make this such a fantastic community.
Cheers.

A fantastic image, one which is not only haunting with the inclusion of the bird, but very beautiful and calming.
With reference to getting sharp images, it is a bit of a funny one. Most monitors or screen work at 72dpi, however I always bump up my resolution to 300 dpi whilst in the process of resizing my image. If you Save it for the Web your computer will normally save it at 72 dpi, this inturn will reduce your file size. A lot of my images are imported at 5M, the maximum allowance.
I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

I can't detect much unsharpness here, Darryl.
The use of pov is excellent, the subject a fascinating one.
Hope you have a terrific Christmas!

Bill
This one looks fine. You can over-sharpen images. Also, de-noise programs can effect the apparent sharpness.
Have a great Christmas, Darryl,
All the best,
Dave
The pontoons look like sentinels, Darryl, still standing tall and proud, as if still keeping watch. It's probably the metal pipe (or something) that humanizes them for me. I like the perspective and your sensitive manipulation.
Brilliant Darryl.
..mate, thanks for all the tips , comments & keep yer chin ups over the past years.
Have the best of Christmases & even more so for 2013 my mate.

This image has a dramatic and apocalyptic feel to it, you've conveyed the desolation and isolation so well
