I seem to be getting a little better with plants than I used to be. My usual work is journalistic with a story behind it. Plants are just...well...plants. But I'm begging to see the beauty in them. I avoided desert plants after an injury that men dred. I was photographing a large cactus for a vacation article. There was a waist high cactus in front of the one I was photographing. I had to stand on tip tiptoe to get the shot I wanted of the huge blossoms that dessert cactus have. I lost my balance, and you can guess the rest. I hit a note that the Rolling Stones would kill for. I swear that for a week every time I had to go to the lieu, I could play Mozart.
