Lately, I've been given a lovely series of sunset sky's to play with. The problem is the foreground. In an urban area like Los Angeles, the landscape is littered with buildings, power lines, and all sorts of distracting and ugly city sprawl. This particular picture was taken in the parking lot of a chain store discount center.
The sky was beautiful, even though I never saw another person look up. I managed to get good images including a local landmark, a late nineteen sixties modernist glass cube office building. At sunset, the glass which is mirrored, and slightly green explodes with color. All in all, it was a good shot, and I only had to remove one parking lot light.
