I've been shooting a lot lately. I wish it was people, and not things, but all my current photo ops have been still life's. However, I do enjoy a lot of my weirder shots. This is the roof of a motor inn a block away. It interested me, and I studied it before I shot.

My Nikon 510 can reach out to a thousand millimeters. Using false, saturated colors which I find I like a lot, I did extreme cropping, and a strong vignette effect. Not bad for an old news hound pushing seventy.

Glad you told what it was as I would have had no idea: mind you even so I still am not sure what I am looking at, but that's by the by.
These rooftop structures make for a colourful almost abstract image with various shapes, lines and curves.

Hi R,

You know what I'm after. I want to turn every day things into art. I wish I had models again. We used to test a lot. That a shoot where each of the parties involved does not charge each other. Both of the parties involved get good stuff for their portfolios. If the photographer sells the image, he is supposed to give the model twenty percent, but I give them half. Other photographer are very annoyed because their models tell them that I am a lot more fair with models than they are.

I like this a lot Aldo, especially for a guy the same vintage as myself, you have a keen eye for colour and shape and you have brought all three together here beautifully.

I posted a similar roofscape a year or so back, From the Universtity of Warwick, England, I too saturated the colours to add impact......you should find it in my portfolio.

This is a fine abstract. It makes a brilliant and happy statement.
