A nicely composed portrait and I like the way you have brought out the vibrant colour of the subjects hair. If anything the light is a bit harsh and direct throwing a heavy shadow under the chin. I would also consider the lighting on the background or choice of dark background as couple with the direct lighting the model blends into the darkness and doesn't stand out so well.
Perhaps some hair light or light burst on the background to help her stand out.
Other than some work on the lighting this is a nicely composed portrait.
I agree with the above about the lighting being harsh, and her hair blends into the background a bit much. Also, I would clone out that little 'flick' of hair on the lhs.
Just seen the original - much better and softer
So you are saying this is ambient light. Really doesn't look it. Appears to be a single main light source high on the right front. Possibly a continuous light source. Is that what you mean?
Quality is high but the lighting is very harsh for a smiling pretty girl. I would prefer it softer and the shadows less heavy. Her dark hair fades into the background and you could do with a hint of rim lighting to lift separation. Having said all that, the image has great strength.
