Transgender lensperson, some self portraits, some other random stuff now and then, mostly family, landscapes, stuff...

I am me, I take photos, and I call it art sometimes.

j'adore la photographie, something I have stuck with for over 24 years now, with a few blips here and there. Currently seeing the world through fresh eyes and new optics. I photograph my family a lot, also myself a fair bit, but now diversifying into other genres such as landscapes, pet photography, and even astrophotography, albeit on a small scale.

Also intend to do strobist shooting this year, something I have been meaning to do for some time now.

Bob Carlos Clarke is one of my hero's, his work still astounds me.

Charlie Waite is another, and I was fortunate enough to meet him in 2012 at a talk at the local camera club, his work has always inspired me more than any other artist and subconsciously his work has influenced my own, from my self portraits to landscapes, we both share a fascination of staircases, and the way he uses colour and composition to turn an ordinary landscape into something magical and memorable has taught me a lot about the image in general.

Final thought

Life is all too short sometimes, living in the shadows isn't living at all. Taste the sun and dance in the daylight. Never look back and never be still. Play with fire sometimes but learn when you get burnt, for life is nothing if nothing is learned.
