156 (199)It seems that only East Anglia has had the snow so far. But there is more to come ![]()
It began to snow on Monday night i think, it settled, but then thawed out a bit, but then tuesday night it got really cold, something like -6 here in the fens, so wednesday we woke up to a lovely haw frost, though dense fog had set in too.
Today however, blue sky, little wispy clouds, and barely any shadow, the snow acts like one massive reflector.
I don't get excited by snow, usually, nor winter, certainly not winter. This year i really wanted these exact condition's and i got them, snow, sub zero temperatures, and one big frost covering everything in sight. And i am loving it, even the cold in my feet as i stand there composing images, accidentally treading in slushy roadside puddles, i dont care at all, in fact a part of me is really enjoying the cold snap, and the conditions it brings.
And i never ever thought i would feel this way about winter.
Anyway, a small selection of images from the past few days.

View from my window upon waking.

Snowy mono grave yard shot.

Another orchard image, tomorrows upload maybe?

Snapshot of nearby avenue looking splendid.

Nearby church, st whoevers.

Using yon end of my zoom, or near enough, so much mist though, but i like the womans dab of colour.

Bandstand in local park.

Token robin redbreast.
If weather predictions are correct, most of the UK should have decent snowfall in the next day or two, make the most of it, enjoy it and capture it, it wont last long at all ![]()
