Another from the "KS Studio" yesterday with a slightly different presentation of these hyacinths this time in that I have included the bulbs and some surrounding fibre: I can never get them to grow straight up, they always fall over but this can have photogenic advantages from a compositional viewpoint.

My thanks to all who commented on A Trossachs Lochan.

Ronnie.

Beautifully shot and presented Ronnie, my mother loved hyacinthes and always had them, I hated their sickly (to me) smell but that didn't deter her SadWink

I'm not sure you could arrange these any better in the frame, Ronnie, natural perfection (compositionally speaking Tongue). The KS lighting gives a wonderful glow to the colours as well. And a quick mention for an excellent presentation.

Yet another superb KS shot Ronnie. Love the detail, colour and presentation and the flowers stand out so well against the black background. The composition and framing are up to your usual excellent standard. I have grown Hyacinths a few times but no more, I find the scent overpowering in the house.

The colours and light are, of course, excellent, Ronnie. You've taken good advantage of their shape. It's the same problem I used to have re the Paperwhite Narcissus and the only way I find to prevent the stems growing long and the heads falling over is to keep them in a very cool place as long as possible, in my case, the greenhouse.

Ann
