Still wading through all the holiday snaps from Portugal! Meanwhile here's a piece of self indulgence from the weekend (on my morning 'dog walk'): sunrise and a breeze to give a more dynamic feel to the grass. It's a scene I'd tried to shoot twice before going on holiday but both mornings the light failed.

Well composed, Al, no shortage of lead in rocks up there!! The movement in the grass I do like. Was it really that colour?

Thanks Dave, those handy rocks again
The colour of the grass is as seen, I was surprised at the difference between the this shots and one where there was no wind. The short grass and longer stems are green but the seed heads are a pale orange and when the wind blows them they colour the scene. I think the warm sunrise light also helps.
Quote: Wonderful image.
Did you use filters to control light on your 5sec exposure?
even if you've saturated the grass, i think it's very effective
and gives a feeling of a painting.

Thank you Kate, I used a 0.6ND grad for the sky and a 1.2 ND to allow the longer exposure to capture the grass movement!
