For a pacifist like me, a wheelbarrow is preferable to a gun, but Paladin might have looked a bit silly pushing one of those around in his guise as "a knight without armor in a savage land".
"His fast wheelbarrow for hire head's the calling wind, a soldier of fortune is the man called Paladin" sounds a bit strange.
