Arctic Tern by jasonrwl

Really like this shot, this is a typical pose of terns but what really makes it work fir me is the whole composition.Excellent. Hoping to get to Farne this week, weather permitting./

Nice shot, I like this particular location on the NYMR. I think its referred to as Moor gate. Nice to see that they kept the livery of the rolling stock the same.

The common red soldier beetle, Rhagonycha fulva, is a species of soldier beetle (Cantharidae). More commonly called 'bonking Beatles', as they are more often than not seen coupled.

Lovely shot,very well executed.

Red dragonfly

Using your photo as an example, very difficult to achieve all the dragon in focus.Side profiles area the best way to achieve the whole of the subject in focus.
Stop down as much as you can,use tripod and don't be afraid to use on board flash and be prepared for lots of failures and frustration!
Finally, I can thoroughly recommend the Tamron SP90 Macro lens

Guillemot

Guillemot by Redpoll

Excellent shot, these are not easy to capture as they move so quick, they're on top of you in a blink at Bempton. Well done.
