And the composition flows across the image beautifully Mand.
Derek
Your work is a pleasure as always.
Lovely image with a crop that really suits it. My eye is first drawn to the spectacular cascade in front of the lighthouse and then down the foam to the RHS then back. Your choice of shutter speed works really well to add movement and excitement without becoming foamy, dreamy and losing it's energy! There's plenty to keep your interest here but it's not a cluttered composition at all and the limited palette of colours really works well.
My one constructive criticism would be to suggest ditching the vignette which I think dirties the RHS especially without really redirecting attention on the centre. Of course I may be wrong and the wave may be too bright and distracting without it! I'd love to see a version without to compare ![]()

Al

thank you all, esp to Al for the crit. Very much appreciated. Jeanie, the 7D bounced along one of the rock slabs in the waterfall at Clywedog. Bums. leaving it to dry and finding other things to play with in the mean time
.
Very well timed Mand, to get the water cascading like that - a super image ![]()
