Already had a composition planned for this one when the mist was thick on the water & you could just make out the foreground yacht.
So camera, tripod set up at the ready & see what would happen!
Anyway, just under the hour standing around soaking up the atmosphere with having to wipe filters with a cloth due to condensation etc. the mist finally made a departure down the river with the sun not far above the horizon.
Sometimes the mist does'nt clear at all & end up calling it a day!

I love these shots you manage to capture on the river estuary - here with the mist clearing a bit you have greater depth and the beautiful early morning golden light is bathing so much more of the scene. But there is still enough left to add an air of mystery to the image. Truly lovely work, Alan.
Regards, Ronnie.
Like the softness of this, and the toffee coloured light,
Michael
I am looking since minutes to this shot and i cannot believe: i am getting a warm feling on the left arm, coming from the sun in your pic!
After years of digi i started again with flim and this makes me happy, for special opportunities i will use film. I mean film can process much better colour than digi sensors, but i am not sure about scanning, i'm afraid a scanner will destroy my pics...
Maybe you can give one time some tips regarding the work with film, or maybe you can recommend me a good scanner which would respect the film...
Thanks,
gabriel
