Merry Christmas by jaktis

Merry Christmas

Try using 'Recurva' (freeware) to scan the disk for your missing pictures. If you haven't done too much to your computer in the meantime you may be able to get some of them back. If possible download the software on another computer and run it from a USB drive, to avoid altering your hard drive till you've tried to recover the photos.

Japanese Garden by ABurke

Japanese Garden

I like the reflections in the water, looks very tranquil.

How many shots do you take of any scene? You'll find that some of us take quite a lot. Zoom in, zoom out, move a few feet left, move a few feet right, focus on different parts of the same scene. Now that you are shooting digitally, your only limitation is battery life and the size of your memory cards, carry lots of both. I might shoot up to 1000 images in a single day

Don't get disheartened, Christmas tends to be a quiet time of year for people posting, voting and commenting. I didn't generate much response when I started - I've since removed many of my early 'failed' pictures, and I still post photos that get little response. Also, paying for an E2 membership allows you to upload bigger photos that make more of an impression (OK so I'm a man and I think 'size matters' Smile )

Mesmeric photo of the owl, but I find the frame a little fussy and distracting.
