The Black Winged Stilt (himantopus himantopus)

Hope you will enjoy a few moments to peruse this lovely elegant little bird. I love his long and slender legs. Captured at Pensthorp reserve at the latter end of last year.
Most grateful as ever for all the c/c's given to the Heron and particular thanks to Ken (franken) for the User Award.

Ron

Interesting and rare..[ to my eyes anyway ], I thought the bracelet should be at the ankle not the knee. Elegant and delicate in any case. TG

Fantastic Ron!!

Funnily enough saw either these or black legged ones of these (can;lt remember) in Portugal last week (Lagos nature reserve).

I took a photo of an Azure Magpie also..but my lens isn;t up to the job really & to get the detail had to hdr it..looks more liek a water colour now :-(
...whioch means..I appreciate your photography all the more.
