The Dunnock (prunella modularis)
Generally regarded as quite dull and unobtrusive but this description disregards it quite interesting and unusual mating habits. It has rather exotic mating habits and is known to adopt one male- two female unions or even one female- two male unions when mating. Could make life lively from time to time.!!GrinGrin
Most grateful and appreciative for all c/c's for the Black Tailed Godwit. Particular thanks to Ray ( Ray 42) for the User Award.

Always great to capture a Dunnock off the ground and square on is great. Superb eye and muted bg Ron. The only part that draws me away is the perch bottom right at such a shallow dof.
I bet it was a changeable light day as you could have afforded more dog and still had a good shutter speed

A cracking shot of this lovely little dunnock, a very underated little bird in my opinion. Some fascinating info regarding the dunnocks mating habits, love triangles and open relationships eh? There's certainly more to them than meets the eye!Tongue
