When I went up for a recce at White Scar limestone pavement on Friday I never expected sunset to be seen as the forecast said the cloud would thicken by the time the sun dipped. Luckily I got a break once (yesterday's image). Then the cloud came again. I had my back to the tree, watching the horizon over Morecambe Bay, and decided no more breaks would be forthcoming. I turned round to pack up and saw this bit of a break behind me..............which did not last long befor the clouds blew over and obliterated any chance of a sunset..... I hung around a bit longer, "just in case" but at 8pm gave up and The Rug and I made our slow descent back down to the car.....
