Like a lot of folks I spent a long time in the cold and dark trying to capture the eclipse. This is probably my best effort. I found focusing durning totality very difficult.

This looks pretty sharp, especially using a teleconverter (they are seldom top quality). I tried to pre-focus while the moon was bright, but wasn't convinced & re-focussed during totality. Both worked equally well, I used manual focus on the limb (edge) of the moon & the focus indicator did seem to work to confirm what I was seeing (D200).

I got the equipment out in the cold before hand to prevent condensation, I found it hard to get the focus right on my scope, so I took a couple of shots then moved focus took another couple and so on, just to make sure I had one or two I could use.
