I only ever see images with sharp snails (no, I don't mean clever snails - you know what I mean) - so I thought I would put up a blurry one! This was last week when I was macroing the moss. The tiny snail (about 0.25 of an inch or so in diameter) started writhing from underneath the moss - so here you have a writhing snail shot through the moss. I hasten to add that no snails were damaged in the making of this pic - though he might have preferred to stay put rather than have my gigantic finger and thumb remove him to a "place of snail safety" - but he just had to go I'm afraid ---- he kept on moving the little moss heads. I quite liked how such a tiny creature looks like a giant in his own little world.

Doubt if I would even have seen him, Sue: you are really down using your macro facilities to perfection here........showing up a world we hardly ever see (at least one I never see).
Very well done.
Ronnie.
(PS. Was just wondering if David Bellamy might suddenly put in appearance from behind a blade of grass

It's another world out there, great and interesting shot

Wonderful capture, Sue - I've got plenty of these with all this damp weather we're having! Perhaps I should go out and point my camera at them before they all run off... ![]()
