Well ,
Apples do see , and they like to fall off trees eventually.
Finding summers hard these days , the bee shouldn't probably be there.
but then again ....

Near the wind there's offshore waters.....
Tides and currents of long lost daughters.
Apples fall just like eve did.
For your stress Dave

I think this is marvelous. So many odd little touches of imagination and composition that still add up overall to give an almost classical sense of balance. I don't think the bee is in the wrong place, but I'd rather like it to be a crab. ![]()
I could look at this for hours... (days if it had the crab)

Good evenin !
Been out stuck in traffic all day.
mmm , well Im real glad this didnt bomb , it was trying a new style mixing thing and conceptuals gotta be one of the hardest most overlooked things in safeland !
Thanks for the musak Alleycat , good chill.
And Eric and Molliedoggystle , honoured , I do try me flippin best to keep this media movin forward , Tis a lonely path sometimes wondering if its crap or gonna be seen as such ![]()
Enjoy the rain...
Had very little connection at home for browsing. I'd love a closer look at these last three on a larger monitor at work in the morning, writes note to self.
The birds and the bees, and mans downfall! a humble apple with the all seeing eye watching, it was all rosy in the garden of eden, then eve took a bite and we became mortal..My sense of realisation does me down sometimes Dave, nice song nice singer, I have his music. chill....This is surrealism at its best mate..

I like it Dave .. although I'm not sure its quite the finished article. The message maybe a little too obvious - but then again thats maybe what you were trying to say. Birds and the Bees, Apple of temptation, but been watched / fear of been seen / found out.
The one element that doesn't quite work is the Bee, I cant put my finger on why.
This is as near to landscape photography as you'll come Dave ..... so much better than the zillionth shot of Twistleton Scar, or the quintillionth shot of that cute little bridge at Knob-End-Cum-Wasserdale.
Yeah, the bee should buzz off but for me that zingy orange panel with the apple is genius. I'd maybe drop it down slightly to stagger it from the panel to it's right though. Avant-garde me ![]()
Dave, Just noticed something - If you are to print this there are two smudges - left hand edge, where the cloud meets the sky.
I now know why I'm unsure about the bee - it looks cartoonish a bit of a characterture, as DaveU says I'm not sure its needed.
Thanks !
mmm, well as mentioned , it was a try at a different style of mix and scale , and that Bee is important in its "weighting". Avant-Garde indeed.
Having said that , couldn't get the blend mode right using such a low res , high crop bee , so I see what you mean Nick , it fades into tonal pixel insignificance perhaps.
And (In a Michael Caine sort of voice)
Those smudges are authentic Dust bunnies , intended to give it sense of being straight from the camera.
Bloody purists ![]()
But great advice , thanks.
