What a stunning place !! Excellent capture !! This qualifies for an award !
Thank you, Hermanus. You are too kind. Maybe i should be in the Italian tourism business...
Nice competent image. Looks a little deserted so not necessarily touristy. Would leave that logo off, it is very insistent.
Thank you Paul. Will investigate.
I know it well - Very quiet for a July afternoon!! One of my favorite places cature so well! Nice Image!! I Like this a lot!!
Thank you, Rich. Yes, I'd like to say i knew it well! Or was getting to know it better!
And great images in your portfolio! The birds are wonderful!
A lovely image of a beautiful view. The colours look good.
As regards the composition I feel the umbrella on the left is over powering, it attracts the eye. Difficult because had you moved forward the interesting terrace with tables and chairs would have been lost.
I have done a mod where I cropped and cloned it away leaving the lamp post. I also straightened the image to make the lamp post vertical, plus a touch or sharpening.
The best solution next time is to give the waiter a big smile and get him to move the umbrella!
The whole image is like a beautiful invitation to me, Andrea. Come and sit here, order your drink and soak up the view.
The chairs have lovely shapes and the buildings are so colourful.
However, the first thing I noticed was the slope to the right. If you look at the horizon and verticals of the buildings, you will see it. Also, of course, as Ian says, it is noticeabe on the lamp post.
That tied-up umbrella is so large and intrusive, and it hides the attractive mountain in the background. Cropping just the left of it would make it look like a curtain and so the whole of it really needs to go. I think that moving to the right to try to avoid it would have spoilt the rest of your composition.
Looks very inviting, I have to say.
As with most things in that part of the world, (I was there about twenty years ago) everything's very colourful.
As has already been said, the umbrella has done you no favours and Ian's mod. is good.
I somehow get the impression that to get the shot at all, you needed to be standing where you were.
