Good afternoon folks,
Burnet moths today. These are the first I have come across this year.
Burnets are day moths and can be found on flowers in grassland even during the hottest
of days. These two were getting it together early last Sunday
Many thanks for the C&C's on yesterday's skipper.
Colin

They seem to be having a really good year down in these parts of the country (Somerset) if the numbers we saw at our local reserve was anything to go by recently......What I have noticed though is a complete lack of Common Blue butterflies???.....Don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same, but locally to me the numbers seem to have crashed with only just the odd specimen seen.

Good image here all the same Colin, well done again.....

Ade
