The Green Woodpecker used to visit for up to an hour at a time, but then I've lots of ants in my lawn!

I shot the bird on the lawn mostly, but when it decided to take a drink I got the couple of shots I like most. I like to think this has quite a lot going for it - light on the birds face/front, good background, nicely framed, exposure... In other words, a technically good picture of the Green Woodpecker?

Taken with the 500mm f4 manual focus, looking out of the lounge window!
