Saturday the promised sun was firmly hidden by fog, but as it seemed the 'non-wet' kind, we went out anyway.
Hoping I got a nice atmospheric shot for my card making.
F5.6
shutter speed 1/2500
18mm focal length ISO400
With that shutter speed, can anyone tell me the differant effect I would've got if I had lowered the ISO? I didn't think of it at the time and don't know if I should wish I had!

Unless you had changed the aperture, you would have just gotten a longer shutter speed. I think I would have shot this with an f11 or f16, might have toned down the sky a bit. As is, it is still nice, I would suggest cropping it to just above the tree. I like the silhouette effect.
Joline - Hadn't thought of that one! And, yes, would've got a better sky, all be it a fog bank! So, when the shutter speed is too fast, lower the f-number... will engrave in memory. Of course, by the next time we get fog I will probably have forgotten... :-(
