I got too close and he flew off, only to return and pose beautifully.

ISO400
Focal length 90mm

With that shutter speed should I have had a lower ISO, seeing as he was almost a still subject?

Nope I think this image is absolutely perfect. I love the detail of the subject and love the depth of field used, it works very well.

No....I've been using even hight ISOs for wildlife, and it lets you have the shutter speed you need to stop their movement. This is excellent focus and clarity.

I agree with what has been said above. I've uploaded a mod which gets rid of the slight colour cast.

Thanks... I must admit I'm not very good with the 'slight' colour casts and my partner usually picks up those for me!
