We found a childs sandcastles on the beach at the end of the afternoon... I really feel there's a picture there, but not at all sure if I've managed to find one. I'm hoping to show a b/w and another, more full shot, later. All comments very welcome!

i like it, i think theres something timeless about it, childhood dreams and all, i think a lower pov taking in some of the surroundings would look good.

Thanks fossiler... mind you, the surroundings were awful! Imagine a podgy lady, dressed in winter coats, scarves, etc., etc, lying full length on the sand... and that was infinately better than including the backgrounds! Smile A shame the child hadn't been a bit more arty and included the sea as a backdrop, but nothing but a huge heap of sand in that direction! I had low wall and a walk-way, or a stone sea-wall backed by buildings... Smile Next time!

Delboy1145... thanks for those... lots of work! The upside-down pic... I rather liked it!!

If you want to keep this as a 'straight' shot, it could probably benefit from some cropping and other tweaking. I've uploaded a mod.

I bet you had poor Geoff plonking these there just so that you could snap them....did you squash them afterwards????
I like the simplicity of the image Angela.
Leaves a lot to the imagination.

Made me smile-- a child's play and just so like how a child would make a castle! Well seen!

It's a really nice idea. I evened up the light a bit, then burned in around the castels and split toned them - gives a more classic feel to what is a classic subject.
