it is strobe lit... there were 3 lights on him...
There's nothing "not to like" really, it's just a way of increasing your creative options - adding light from whatever direction you like, at whatever colour you like, it's really limitless

, its a super image, lovely lighting and so unusual with that backdrop and the addition of textures. top work

Sam's in my band - such a natural in front of the camera.
0 effort required, we just chat about music and stuff for hours and as we go, I take photos
I try to make my shoots into "not shoots" - as in - they don't feel like shoots, rather more like conversations and fun, so people relax and don't look so stiff
He's clever if he can *chat* with that in his mouth..lol - congrats, great pic.
